Bernadine Atchison

Leadership Biography

Bernadine Atchison serves as the Chair of the Executive Council. She is dedicated to preserving tribal sovereignty, protecting cultural resources, and ensuring the health and wellness of Kahtnuht'ana Dena'ina tribal members. Under her leadership, the Council oversees tribal programs, economic development initiatives, and community infrastructure projects on the Kenai Peninsula.

Under the tribal constitution, the Executive Council is mandated to represent all tribal members. Leaders are elected by voting members to ensure their voice shapes future policy, economic sovereignty, and healthcare access.
